Experience: Make a layover in Middle River at the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum, located at Martin State Airport. Explore Maryland’s rich aviation and aerospace history through exhibits, educational programs, and interactive tours. Since 1990, the museum has preserved archives containing research models, aircraft tools, and a collection of over 200,000 aviation photographs used as important resources for researchers.

Experience: Keep the fun in the sun rolling at Rocky Point Park and Beach. Located on the east side of the Back River, the park shows off its impressive views of the Chesapeake Bay, Hart-Miller Island and Craighill Lighthouse. Spread across 370 acres of land, Rocky Point features one of the nicest beaches on the upper Chesapeake (open for swimming Memorial Day-Labor Day), 18 picnic areas, two playgrounds, fishing pier, sand volleyball courts, and two boat ramps. You don’t have to wait for the weather to break as the park is open for year-round fishing, boating, and picnicking.
